The Gums &
Colloids group came into existence from the mother company
by the name “Amar company” in 1940, founded
by Late Sh. Ram Chander Amar (Ex Acting Mayor of Delhi).
His son
Mr. Vijay Prakash Amar who joined the business
in early 70’s changed the company’s
name to “Amarjee” in the year 1980
and started specializing in the field of natural
gums.
In 1982, first
of the five state-of-the art processing units with a strength
of 150 workers was opened in Delhi under the name of The
Gum Arabic Company (I) Regd. Initiated and managed by
Mrs.Vimla Rani Gupta by setting up 11 business centers
in Northern India.
